About
Welcome everybody to Russian Media Industry News. The sole purpose of this blog is to provide a deeper insight into one of Russia’s rapidly developing industries, a view from within. I try to provide an unbiased view on things happening in the Russian media industry, but, of course, I have my own opinions. If you see an opinion lurking from behind the pure facts, it’s all mine (unless otherwise explicitly stated).
This blog is a work in progress. I invite everybody to take part in this project, comment, contribute, argue, whatever. Send me your rants and raves, let me know what you miss and what you would like to vanish. If you think I’m wrong, correct me (especially with hard data). Press releases from Russian media companies are welcome, unless they tell the world something which newsworthyness is limited to about 5 miles around your home village. Remember, this is a blog primarily targeted to the curious souls outside Russia who probably have not heard about the media empire called «Cheboksarskij Zheleznodoroshnik» (and do not care either).
Disclaimer: I work at Wolters Kluwer Russia, a professional publisher. This project is a purely private initiative. My employer does not finance, sponsor, endorse or otherwise influence this blog. If you see nice words about Wolters Kluwer in this blog, it’s because I like to work there and appreciate the job our people are doing. If I rant about companies which we compete with, it’s because I dislike their products or services, not Wolters Kluwer (Wolters Kluwer loves competition).
